Brian Pruch

When I was in high school, my baseball teammates were blind to faith and did not understand why I believed in God and went to church and what not. I would try to have spiritual conversations with them but nothing ever changed.  One night, I was deep in prayer and overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit.  I felt a call to commit myself to aid teenagers like my teammates in understanding who God is and the purpose He has for their life.

As I worked with various youth ministries I continued to feel a direct call from God to pursue youth ministry full-time. God has given me a passion to help students in seeking Him out and discovering just how great He is.  I love when students learn about God, enjoy God, and commit themselves to living full out for Him.

Campus Life is a perfect fit to that early calling.I love that students from all different walks of life can come together and experience God.  Whether students are attracted by the food, high energy games, or spiritual discussions, all students come together in community and improve their relationship with Christ together.

I absolutely love the Gretna area along with the students, schools, and residents.  Gretna has a small town feel to it that allows for a nicely paced lifestyle.  God placed me in Gretna in the past working with students through Journey Church.  He has now allowed me to remain there and continue to build relationships within the community as the Gretna Campus Life Director.

I married Sara, my high school sweetheart and love of my life in July 2011. It was amazing to see how God brought us through a young relationship with many struggles and places us in this position with Campus Life.  In the future, we pray that God will bless us with children that we can love and care for.
